experience in family research. As a former paralegal, she specializes
in colonial deeds, probate, and other court records in South Carolina
and Virginia. She is familiar with courthouses and research facilities
in Tidewater and Charleston area, and conducts on-site research in the
archives in Washington, D.C., Richmond, and Columbia, South Carolina.

common law of Virginia and South Carolina. Experience and education in
the law assist her in analyzing and interpreting colonial and antebellum
legal documents, which can be the key to determining relationships.
Langdon is also interested in re-constructing neighborhoods, house
histories, and documenting migrating families with roots in both
Virginia and South Carolina.
